English Hubs

English Hubs offer a range of support and continuing professional development (CPD) to primary schools to improve the teaching of early reading, with a particular focus on: systematic synthetic phonics, early language, reading for pleasure and recently Fluency.

Research Schools

Supporting schools, colleges, and early years settings across England to put evidence into practice.

Derby Research School works with teachers and leaders in the East Midlands to help schools make better use of research evidence to improve the quality of teaching and learning and raise student outcomes.

Teaching School Hubs

Teaching School Hubs are Centres of Excellence led by schools and Multi-Academy Trusts. They offer teacher training and professional development for teachers and leaders at all stages of their career. This includes the National Professional Qualification (NPQs) Leading Literacy, a course to help teachers learn how to effectively teach and promote literacy across the whole school, year group, key stage or phase.
